I was introduced to CrossFit by my husband in 2011, during which I was completely in love with group fitness. Everyday he came home with something new that he was excited to share with me. The music was loud, the people were great. It was something I could fall in love with easily. Since then I have became a coach, and then affiliate owner. I love to utilize my passion for yoga and weightlifting to help the athletes in our gym be more successful in whatever life has in store for them. I started CrossFit in 2009 after a friend introduced me to CrossFit LC Valley. The program was just becoming established, and I have been hooked ever since! I have always had an active lifestyle, but CrossFit has brought me back to my high school wrestling fitness. I love coaching and helping people reach their fitness goals. Coaching athletes to their “first” pull-up, handstand, muscle-up etc. is the best part of coaching for me. I hold a CrossFit Level 1 and Level 1 certifications and I plan to get my USAW weightlifting certificate. I mean, come on, what’s better than moving weight on a barbell! Outside of CrossFit, My family is my everything. We love to camp, hike, fish and enjoy Idaho’s beautiful back country!

I have been a part of the CrossFit LCValley family for…7 years? I got bored with wandering around a gym trying to figure out what to do. I wanted to be a part of a team and to be pushed. That’s exactly what I got my first time I did a WOD and I haven’t been on a regular gym floor since. I absolutely love the positive energy and comradery that comes with CrossFit LCValley. I love coaching new people-especially the skeptics or the people who are intimidated by CrossFit. I push the importance of mechanics and proper technique in order to prevent injury, because that’s a huge fear for people just starting out and its given CrossFit a bad reputation. Its not that way at all! Anything new is scary but “if you want something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done”. The workouts are so versatile, anyone can do it! And its pretty amazing to see someone accomplish something they never thought was possible. My husband also works out with me and my 18 month old spends just as much time in the gym as we do. I’m so blessed to be able to raise my daughter around such a strong group of people.

I started CrossFit in 2016 after my husband convinced me he had a TON of fun doing Murph for the first time (crazy man!). I honestly didn’t realize how much I was missing in life before I stepped through that rolling garage door. The coaches and members have become an extended family. I was introduced to CrossFit by a friend of mine. The moment I went I fell
in love with it and haven’t looked back since. I am a former track athlete at Lewis-Clark State College, so doing hard workouts has been something that you had to embrace in order to compete and stay in competitive shape. I have loved the challenging aspect that CrossFit brings to their workouts. There is something new to work on every single day. What I love the most about CrossFit though, is the community. Coming
to the gym and knowing that you are part of a like-minded community is something special to have. That is what I missed most about my track team.

Preferred Music to WOD to: Hard Rock, the louder the better.

I was introduced to CrossFit by a coworker in 2018. At this time, my activity background was primarily in yoga and triathlons. I remember being terrified to walk through the rolling doors for the very first time, but within that first hour I became hooked. The encouragement and support of the coaches and the members is something I've never experienced at any other gym. CrossFit has now become a staple within my family, as my husband and multiple other family members have incorporated the numerous health benefits of CrossFit into their own lives. My favorite part of coaching is helping people realize what they are capable of. Outside of CrossFit, my family is my everything. I am married to the man of my dreams, and we have two beautiful children.
